Kinsale Hockey Club held the first memorial perpetual tournament on Jun 14th in honour of our friend and teammate Sarah Burke.
The first tournament saw three local primary schools battle it out though hail stones and sunshine to be crowned the first ever winners.
The honour went Scoil Naomh Eltin's 6th class team. The trophy was presented to the winning team by Sarah’s parents Gwen and Darren
Huge thanks to all the players, teachers KHC coaches and our TY & U16 players and all involved in the tournament.
Schools Programme
As part of our promotion of hockey across the general Kinsale area, we to run a primary schools taster programme each year, with the support of the Irish Hockey Association. We hope to give all children the opportunity to try out the game.
